What you are suggesting sounds more like “blind love,” which may not be love at all. I have to strongly disagree with you on the point of dignity. Love makes the other more dignified because he or she is valued above their own feelings.

I sympathize greatly, though have you heard the term “limerence”? You might appreciate the book Love and Limerence by Dorothy Tennov, which I read just recently and wish I had discovered a long time ago.
