This poem is sad and wistful. It speaks of the heartache and the regret that we all feel when we find the years have long passed. It is a very good poem, in that sense, but…
I wouldn’t wish anyone to write a poem such as this. Then again, I may be taking the subject matter too seriously. I do that far too often. lol.
Revisiting-
Only five years or is it millennia-you were a young writer, and I, your new, young reader, but She is always the same; steadfast and skittish, reliable yet relentless. Not mere regret; She leaves longing in her wake; She draws me along and I know you are composing there, not far ahead . . .

I wonder why is it that we realise the true worth of things in hindsight, and not so much as and when they are happening. I mean this happens with people all the time right ?
