Sad. Good photo. Can you write a poem with the same photo but with a happy ending? A happy subject? If so, then you are a poet!

I am sure she can. If she wrote this poem she is a poet.

Yes, of course, she is a poet. A good one. This is a great poem. But how much greater the poet who can bring out other meanings from the exceptional photo displayed here. My comment was merely a challenge.
for Coco.A compliment, really. Thanks for your comment.

Such depth and power and meaning and emotion — expressed with such an amazing economy of words. No, my dear, you are NOT a poet! That label is much, much too . . . ‘small’ for you. You Are, quite simply — and magnificently — a MASTER!. . . . 🙂

hmmm made me sad to think how love can break our hearts and that death is the only thing that erases this…

I can relate to this so much. Opposite emotions, yet both are being felt at the same time. Profound. Thank you for sharing.

A modern twist on the form, and I like it. I had an old poet friend who once said that hitching haiku together like this makes you a hitch-haiku-er. 😉

Coco, thanks for subscribing to my blog! This is a gutsy poem in all its simplicity… At first, my thoughts were of an abusive father (perhaps because I had one…), and then I dwelt more on the idea of a romance in the tricky stages. The little girl was a compelling argument for the former… Haunting. Thanks, Amy

Thatz the best part of being a poet.. Length and depth of words don’t define the feelings…..
You said, it so perfectly, which leaves readers so much to think about..
I really liked it…
Thanks a lot for sharing your short but deep write ^-^
