Happy Birthday Matt Mullenweg!
January 11, 2015 § 12 Comments
Today is Matt Mullenweg’s 31st birthday. Here’s a photograph I took of him almost five years ago on Necker Island. Matt is one of the most kind and genuine of souls you could meet. At the time of getting to briefly know him (through another brilliant entrepreneurial friend of mine), I didn’t know know much about WordPress.com and was definitely not writing. Today I am especially grateful for entrepreneurs like Matt Mullenweg, founder of WordPress.com, who have made it possible for us creators to easily get our art and work out into the world.
To end I’d like to share a few quotes from Matt himself. 😉
“Do what you love and don’t focus on the money. Life is too short.”
“Technology is best when it brings people together.”
“We are much better at writing code than haikus.”
Happy Birthday Matt !!!
Happy birthday Matt! I love my WordPress blog. :o)

Wow, awesome that he was so fearless to start his own (ad)venture before he was ‘here’ even 30 years! (Like many others, sure 😉 — but statistically our representation in the general human population (%) is very, VERY small…). Big kudos and congrat’s and thanks to him for sure, for not only making it work, but making it work HUGE, AND for ALL involved!! 🙂

I had no idea who founded Word Press. Thanks for the photo introduction. My world is more purposeful and joyful since I became part of the Word Press community in June 2014.
