BEAUTIFUL!! I deeply appreciate your fully embracing of the ‘Cycle of Life on Terra’, and the fact that it is all ‘perfect’, and glorious, and enchanting — if one so CHOOSES to see it, to LIVE it, from that Place of Inner Peace (and Joy) 😉

This is so beautiful!
Thank you for sharing your heart with the world and with me!
Grandma is definitely getting sweeter daily, and she approaches Jesus and Daddy’s full embrace in person!
Love,
Mom

I printed this out and put it inside my grandmother’s cookbook were I can read it over and over. This is certainly my all time favorite poem of yours to date. The first four lines (I love this day, this perfect day, this this gorgeous day, this happy day) have a cadence that reminds me of the sound a woman makes while stirring batter, the wooden spoon catching the side of the bowl.
This poems speaks truth in a deeply felt way. I remember my grandparents dying just as I was be unfolding my own wings to fly away. I remember the helpless feeling that I couldn’t do anything for them remain where they were in time. There was such a difference between our places in life and a chasm between our ages. And yet, I knew that someday I would be where they were and that I was them and they were me.

Just when I once again mistakenly imagine that you could not possibly get any better, you write something like this! Oh, my! How rich in talent, skill, and substance! I was only four lines deep when the rhythm of all creation; of true love, captured me. I was moved to read those lines again and again before I could even float on down to drink in the rest.
You’re right. It’s not death as much as she’s becoming perfectly, permanently alive.
My dear friend, this is your best “love and relationship” work to date, IMO. Beautiful poem, beautiful writer, beautiful person. God bless Grandma and you.
