Happy Birthday Matt Mullenweg!

Today is Matt Mullenweg’s 31st birthday. Here’s a photograph I took of him almost five years ago on Necker Island. Matt is one of the most kind and genuine of souls you could meet. At the time of getting to briefly know him (through another brilliant entrepreneurial friend of mine), I didn’t know know much about WordPress.com and was definitely not writing. Today I am especially grateful for entrepreneurs like Matt Mullenweg, founder of WordPress.com, who have made it possible for us creators to easily get our art and work out into the world.
To end I’d like to share a few quotes from Matt himself. 😉
“Do what you love and don’t focus on the money. Life is too short.”
“Technology is best when it brings people together.”
“We are much better at writing code than haikus.”
Happy Birthday Matt !!!
The End.

Hi.
Hi.
I want to tell you a story.
Okay.
Once upon a time…

‘Do you still write about me?’
Do you still read me?
‘No!’
No! I deleted everything.
‘Interesting, I just clicked on your blog
and you have a new story.’
So, you lied?
‘You lied.’
False. I underestimated the power of your imagination.
‘You’re not making sense. You are insane.’
Writing isn’t sense. It’s creating, learning,
and the ability to understand your own heart.
‘So, you do still write about me.’
No! You wrote this…
Good Enough?

Once you know what you want, it’s easy to free yourself of
what you did not want—disposing of the good,
making room for only the best.
You’re good baby— but I always knew my heart was created
for the best…
So when I walk away, I hope you finally see,
the best things in life are never free.
Xoxo, Miss Coco J.
