2015/01/img_0080.jpgToday is Matt Mullenweg’s 31st birthday. Here’s a photograph I took of him almost five years ago on Necker Island. Matt is one of the most kind and genuine of souls you could meet. At the time of getting to briefly know him (through another brilliant entrepreneurial friend of mine), I didn’t know know much about WordPress.com and was definitely not writing. Today I am especially grateful for entrepreneurs like Matt Mullenweg, founder of WordPress.com, who have made it possible for us creators to easily get our art and work out into the world.
To end I’d like to share a few quotes from Matt himself. 😉
“Do what you love and don’t focus on the money. Life is too short.”
“Technology is best when it brings people together.”
“We are much better at writing code than haikus.”
Happy Birthday Matt !!!

All people dream, but not equally.

sogni 11
Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their mind,
wake in the morning to find that it was vanity.
But the dreamers of the day are dangerous
people, for they dream their dreams with open eyes,
and make them come true. —D.H. Lawrence

A Bedtime Story

largeIf love is magic—
If I’m the Dreamer
And you the Dream…
If I want you,
but you don’t want me, then
the magic can’t be.
Do you see?

I only wrote this tale to tell you—
without you,  I can’t make magic.
