Ready or not here I come…
I’m going to smile so bright, you’re going to come undone.
I’m going to make you crazy,
just by being a happy baby—
Me, and my 1000 red balloons.
I’m going to make you glum
with so much kindness in my heart
you’ll not be able to have fun.
You’ll wait and wait for my
bitter hate,
your jaded escape—will be your own fate.
My smile will lift me to the
highest of heights—
Me, and my 1000 red balloons.
Higher and higher
We’ll rise away
Higher and brighter
into the gold cayenne sky.
Back on the ground
You’ll go mad as a hatter
watching me—
Me, and my 1000 red balloons.
But…
if ever you’re lonely
IF you need a friend
I’ll give you one red balloon.
I’ll drop you a curtsey
[thank you for what you brought though it hurt me].
Then, turn and fly away—
Me, and my 999 red balloons.

Hi Coco. How is Arizona? Hot? I like how you use the new “graphics” features on WordPress. It makes your essays seem like comments on the picture at the top. Nice work.

I really like how you’ve played with the font colors and effects. I get told so much that it’s a “no-no” to play with the font effects in writing narratives, but I think it works so well with poetry.
